that supports the community by providing social services to women in need. Sisters
Need a Place (SNAP) has been serving the faithful for over five years and was formed by a group of Muslim Women to meet the economic
and spiritual needs of women.
Our mission is to spiritually uplift our community and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to empower women & their families by providing a safe, culturally & religiously sensitive atmosphere in which they can grow and prosper.
We are committed to spiritual enrichment, intellectual freedom, and community service opportunities for women within the cultural and religious framework of Islam. Our organization provides services to Muslim and Non-Muslim women regardless of their race or ethic background.
We work extensively with low-income, immigrants, refugees and under-served
Muslim women as well as surivors of domestic abuse.
Our membership is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able
to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon our community. We welcome you
with open arms.
Our Vision: To provide consultation that is safe,
culturally relevant and promotes spiritual awareness.

The Al-Maoon (The Neighborly Assistance) program will address the community
needs by effectively expanding our services within the disadvantage and
immigrant communities by promoting a simplified way in seeking out valuable
resources for them to succeed through their predicament while in Minnesota
(America). Provide a safe place for families and women to come and express
themselves during their crisis, to receive the appropriate referrals, and to
effectively follow up with participants after receiving our services. |

Triple W |
Working With Women |
The Triple W program will collaborate with local therapists to provide
individual and group sessions; there will be translators and culturally
competent facilitators to allow a comfortable environment for building a safe
space, network and to maintain healthy living. Work with each woman individually
to make sure they are a success, providing a personal mentor to guide. |

Circle Bazaar |
Circle Bazaar (Begins Fall 2010) |
The mission of Circle Bazaar is to help start new businesses by providing
planning, capital, space and supplement income. The target population is those
potential business owners who have little resources, places to go for help or
who are rejected by other organizational assistance, with special emphasis on
recruiting Muslim women. This project is created to bring it altogether in one
package: loan money, space, planning assistance, supplemental income and
inter-business support. |
